I have a 2012 Skoda Superb Mk2 with a Columbus nav/radio unit. The Maps are woefully out of date and the radio is only analogue. I would like to replace this with a more up to date system with DAB and up todate mapsetc. Probably an android system. I have seen a few online but am unsure as to whether I can do this and still retain the steering wheel controls. The units I have seen say they support steering wheel control but there does not seem to be a plug in or cable etc for the same. 

 

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Why not MIB STD2 PQ from YETI FL and then use Android Auto, MirrorLink or Apple CarPlay?

I'd prefer a short summary rather than reading through a 7-page thread at this point on a Friday evening. This isn't something I have any plans to do myself, but if you're going to post on every thread about head unit replacement, the least you could do is give a summary of what's involved.

Does it display parkassist and climate control, like columbus and amudsen does, or does it lose this function? 😀

To " @Mcturk " - When I wrote this post I was thinking of which model to purchase. I remember that the Head Unit visualize the Park Assist and Climate Control but it is better to ask the Seller for sure. Finally (before two or three weeks) I take a decision to Purchase another Head Unit (Brand "Erisin", Model "ES8028V") and the Professional who will install it in my "Skoda Superb 2 Combi Face Lift" told me that it will visualize for sure Park Assist and Climate Control. I am waiting for delivery in the middle of Januari and will install it as quick as the Professional can
