Hi Everyone,

I've decided to purchase an Octavia vRS, test drove it on Saturday and immediately wanted to get it. Fingers crossed picking it up towards the end of the week so thought it was a sensible decision to join the forum.

Hi and welcome, similar to me. So far apart from a good clean and polish I haven't done much - mudflaps front & rear to try and keep it clean and a long life air filter (for money saving as much as power I will keep the vRS years I hope). I sealed the upholstery with Dodo Juice fabric protector and put a twin USB adaptor and an airfreshener into the cabin. It's hard to resist fiddling about with a new (to me) car. I fancy bonnet gas struts next but I'm hoping SuperSkoda have a discount weekend. £50 is hard to justify for something you just don't need.

Any plans for your new car?

This one is also not brand new but new to me. When you say twin USB adaptor do you mean one that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket?

I'll also been giving mine a decent clean and polish, apart from that I don't have any immediate plans.  I'm sure that will change once I have it though!

Yes a very neat plug in from Ebay    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Dual-USB-Twin-Port-12V-Universal-In-Car-Lighter-Socket-Charger-Adapter-Plug/183301950770?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=690599151401&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648

because a single UBS in the cabin is not going to be enough when phones need a charge. I would be interested in adding a 12v socket into the back of the armrest for rear passengers. It would be a nice little upgrade.

I found an airfreshener type that fits perfectly into the cup holders - The image is the sealed can but they come in a plastic case with a grill top, they do look good because they fit spot on and the colour matches the interior. The brand I got was Miami fresh, but I've since seen other brands that look the same size. It does smell very nice too.

Small things as they say ...
