Just a quick thought, especially after my previous thread on "blubs".

Can somebody tell me what bulbs are in high beam and the fogs of a mk2 octy, dipped is xenon so I am ok there As I have a couple of set's of brand new powerbulbs H1 & H7 left from the furby. I would guess at mains and fog's being H1??

How is the servicing setup, I am going to do around 15k a year, so would it be better to be fixed or variable folks.

ok I lied, a third question

Whats the quality of the Stream HU like? Radio reception ok? (Can't do without my Wake up with Wogan), CD playback sound good? (can'tdo without my Rammstein, Wogan and Rammstein, theres a combo)

Question 1. I don't know I'm at my desk in work.

Question 2. I was told ~20,000 miles if you use super duper long life oil or a 10,000 mile interval if you use convential oil.

Question 3. Rammstein sounds wonderful on the CD player. You can fit all six of their albums in the multiplay CD in the boot and keep the slot player in the front free for playing other stuff. I'm yet to listen to Wogan in the morning but Jonathan Ross and Radio 5 footie sound good to me.

Lights for Octy II as follows (as taken from handbook):-

Low Beam: H7 or (D1S Xenon)

High Beam: H1

Parking/Side Lights: W5W

Indicators: PY21W

Fog Lights: H8

Servicing would be up to you, no real benefit doing either fixed or variable based on 15,000 miles per annum as far as I can see.

Stream HU is pretty bloomin' good, certainly for my ears anyhow. CD playback more than acceptable and at reasonable volumes if so desired. Best to check that one out on a test drive though to see if it's to your tastes.

I never listened to the radio on the test drive I was listening to the motor, which while some say is less "raw" than the golf, it impressed me

but then again, I am used to driving a Furby

The stream head unit is good imho, I was toying with the idea of new speakers before buying but I'm not now.

Btw the Parking light bulbs in my Xenon headlamps are actually Blue, I dunno why they give off a Yellow ish colour when on. I was going to change them, I actually had them out and all. I think they were an OS part number (I assume Osram, but stand corrected )
