I've done the same "mod" using the Audi 12V cigarette do dah......

 

It nicely matches the radio buttons now and appears to be another of those things that Skoda should have done as standard but didn't, presumably in an effort to differentiate the Audi brand...

It most likely didn't get past the accountants, or the VW overloads making sure Skoda is towards the bottom of the pecking order.

I just fitted a flush usb twin adaptor so driver and passenger can hook up a charge if required.

 

 

 

I also got a couple of the little LED torches that fit into the sockets to charge …

 

 

One in black one in silver.

....and has to orientated "just so" just like the volume control on the Amundsen....

Ah - in that case which way should the twin USB's go then? Across the car or front to back?

 

Obviously a slight angle would be a no-no. 

 

I think I did front to back lined up, years of 'facing up' shelves in retailing is to blame. 

Looks nice, is the quality as good as it looks?

Just ring up your local branch and order over the trade counter.  It’s not really an online service, hence the poor search facility.
