By the way, VCDS is just the new name for VAGCOM, so what you have will probably clear the codes.

I've spoken with Tech1e, and will let you know how I get on after the expert eye has had a look at my failed effort. I'm really grateful for all input. ' It's lucky (for me ) that he is relatively local .
