Hi all.

 

Going to be rebuilding my 4x4 Octavia engine and at the same time look at reinforcement for the current gearbox but I can't find my info for this gearbox online.

 

I did look at the 02M but can’t afford the whole lot and I got brand new 02c drive shafts here anyway. (Unless someone has the whole lot cheap)

 

what gearboxes are compatible with each other etc. E.g what LSD and which need 4th reinforcement and 5th gear issues resolving.

Internally the same as the 02J from the vRS.

 

However that gearbox is always going to be a bit of a weak link.

Would 02m be best then? Just don’t want to spend loads and loads on this

Depends on what you are pushing the engine to, if anything.

Stroking it and pushing 350-450hp

Go for the 02M, a lot more LSD options and you are bringing a lot more strength to the table as well. 

If you get it from an 225 TT you get the TT "shortshifter" (the shifter on the box) as well
