2010 scout boot change, different wiring no boot lights

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I’ve changed the boot on my 2010 FL scout for a cleaner one same colour etc but from a 2013 FL model. All the wiring matched up colour for colour etc but there’s one wire on the original loom (white with a blue trace) but NO wire on the new boot loom to connect too, this is causing the boot lights and interior lights NOT too come on when I open the boot... the dash shows the boot is open etc etc, does anyone no where the interior light feed connects to so I can just solder it back where it should be. Photo below.

 Many thanks

Forgot to add...

other wiring in photo is from and for the blue lights etc etc as it used to be an RRV paramedic Responce car. (My own)

the boot I’ve swapped for is exact same colour make and model and spec just 2013 not 2010 like original.

Hey up mate,

not sure which station you mean? If it’s the Chorley base then yeh I’ve been there quite a few times but Im not based there I’m sort of mobile, I own the company that takes care or ambulances and have the Ambulance support unit (discreet looking ambulance that’s a mobile workshop inside) and do all wiring, mechanical and anything to do with ambulances etc etc, I also build covert cars and vehicles (fit custom wiring looms and lights with control system etc etc).

I do have a contract at an ambulance site in Atherton Monday to Friday as I do all there maintenance or warranty repairs, de commission ambulances so they can be sold to the public as camper conversion ready or the RRVs back to normal everyday vehicles.

I was just up at Screwfix today after spending the morning in a hospital inspection training session at CDH.

I don't envy you all the electric knitting you have to play with on the blue lights fleets!  We used to think the extras on the Pan Euro bikes were enough of a challenge ...
