VCDS newbie needs advice please on scan

Featured Replies

Hi

I've got a misfire that is intermittent, but it's getting worse and worse.

It's showing no fault codes at all.

I have done the following in the order below but it has made no diffence at all,

Scanned car with VCDS no fault codes.

Done a compression test. All cylinders 430 psi

Changed the fuel filter.

Done a diesel purge with liquid moly.

Changed the injector loom,

As i have said I'm new to vcds and i looked at the measuring blocks and noticed number 2 injector is a massive diffrence from the other ones.

The car i have is as follows.

2008 vw polo bluemotion 9n

1.4 tdi 3 cylinder engine code BMS

98,000 miles

Is there a way i can test the injectors in the car.

Thanks s

Any advice anyone please

Update your VCDS, it's quite a bit out of date.

Thanks rusty nuts that's another story,

I'm running an old dell latitude d400 that for some reason will not conect to the Internet,

I will see what I can do I do have a genuine ross tech lead that says I need to register it in 6 goes..

Thanks again

Sorry forgot to mention this was done with the car not running and the ignition on.

Thanks s
