This is what I saw and got me a bit worried Here , researchers from the UK found out a number of vulnerabilities in the Skoda Octavia, so I am wondering it it will be fixed in any ways. 

Just don't buy a car with a keyless system.

It was an option when I bought my Skoda, but I said no way.

All cars with keyless start are vulnerable, at least as they become more common you can hide in the crowd a bit more. Your link only shows the news story if you register to Redit I think. Copy and paste the highlights …

So If you use a load of technology you can gain access to a car with remote opening and then use a load more tech to find out some data from the car. Luckily we have cars with keyless start that criminals will focus on, and also with the greatest respect If I was going to invest in all the tech and expertise I would perhaps look at high end Mercs, BMW's Audi's that would attract a higher resale price. 

Fair enough, although, it's nice to see that research looks at these vulnerabilities for us.
