driver door contact switch/auto hold/electronic parking brake error

Featured Replies

anyone here managed to sort out this fault? Was doing some google research and it seems like they always come up together in the dash on VW/Seat/Skoda vehicles.

1 - Driver door contact switch error

2 - Auto hold error

3 - Electronic parking brake error

Got this problem on a Superb MK3 TSI

If the system thinks a door is open, it won’t release the EPB just by being in gear and pressing the throttle (DSG) or releasing the clutch (manual). I guess the same applies to the auto-hold. So they are interlinked.

I would imagine that if you fix the door contact issue, the rest will go away.

I was thinking the exact same as Nick. All interlinked and all coming back to the door contact.

Good luck

For anyone wondering where the door contact switch is. It is built into the latch so needs an entire latch unit if this is determined to be the fault

Good morning, purchased my 2018 skoda superb auto 1.6TDI 120BHP DSG, this day last week. Haven't had much of a chance to put a few mile on till this weekend and she has been binging with errors all weekend. exactly as mentioned above driver door contact switch/auto hold/electronic parking brake error. I contacted the dealer i purchased it from on Saturday and i am to bring it in to get fixed, now i dont want to drive away with just the errors cleared and it popping up again once the warranty is spent. What needs to be done to actually fix this? what do i need to be looking out for

appreciate any help/advice
