MK 111 fabia rear fog lamp coding

Featured Replies

Hi, I currently have a 2016 Skoda Fabia in the workshop which is a left hand drive vehicle.  The owner wishes to register the vehicle onto uk plates so requires an MOT to do this.  I have been asked to sort the headlamp kick off which is not a problem.  The problem I have is the coding to get both rear fog lamps working.  I have fitted an new uk spec bulb holder but just need to recode in the central electrics.  I am using VCDS but am unable to see an option for this in long coding.  I have logged in and looked in adaptions but not knowing the prefix for the O/S/R fog lamp I am unable to change anything.  If somebody was able to help with this I would be very grateful

Without having checked the wiring diagrams for LHD and RHD, I would have thought that only one side with have a power lead to the cluster that houses the rear fog light as I don't think that any EU country demands that rear fog lights are needed on both sides, only normally the OF needs to have a rear fog light.

So if I was faced with that conversion, I'd expect to replace both rear clusters with RHD ones and swop the reversing light power feed with the rear fog power feed, or am I missing something?
