I'm just after getting a mp3 player and would like to connect a cable from rear of HU to 3.5 mm connector

I have a Blaupunkt modena CD53.

On examination there is space for a 3rd plug in the rear (Which I assume is for CD changer)

Does anyone have the config of the socket . What i need is the input pins for the the left and right speakers, and is the a trigger pin to tell the headunit i have connected someting?

I believe that the HU needs to be fooled into thinking there is actually a CD changer connected.

You can either buy an iPod connector setup http://www.fabia-vrs.com/vw_ipod_interface_kit.htm or make up your own cable, which needs programming a chip : http://www.k9spud.com/vwcdpic/
