Door sealing advice needed

Featured Replies

I have sealed my doors in the past, and everything is fine apart from my OSR door

I now have a LOT of sealant around the carrier edge, im certain nothing can be coming through there, but I still have a leak

Is it advisable to seal around where the clips go in aswell ? I am wondering if its coming in through there ?

Yep, seal any point where the metal has holes in it.

How far up the rear edge of the carrier are you sealed?

I would say at least 6" if not more

Ah, that's not nearly far enough. (Most of)  The water gets onto the carrier quite a long way up the rear edge. It runs vertically down the inside (invisible, inside door) surface of the carrier and meets the seal well over halfway up the rear edge.

If you look at ebay listings for secondhand carriers they tend to show watermarks that demonstrate this clearly.
