regarding the CFGB engine, 170hp TDi DSG, would it be beneficial to add a Oil Catch Can?

Did anybody already do it and made some guide?

 

I was told such OCC cost about 40€ on ebay, and would be mounted between crankcase vent and turbo.

Is this correct?

 

On this ... borrowed ... photo I marked with red/green/red ring a hose, would this be the crankcase vent?

 

 

 

It would help the EGR valve stay a bit cleaner in the long term I reckon but when I had a play with a catch can on previous cars it just filled up with condensation in the winter so where you mount it is quite important.

 

Personally I wouldn't bother.
