Front assist -when parking

Featured Replies

Owned my octavia 2016 se l 2.0 tdi for 2 months

Am considering switchin g on Front Assist

Read quite a lot about it but i have one question:-why doesn't it activate when pulling into a parking space

with an obstruction-a car a wall a hedge-in front?

Thanks

It doesn't activate at such low speeds - the park sensors take over.

Have been caught out a couple of times with rear assist when reversing. Say I want to mount a pavement. Sometimes the parking sensors detect the pavement and increase frequency until it's a constant tone. If I ignore the sensors and keep reversing, you feel the brake pedal lower and the car stops automatically.

I was really meaning activation of brakes and dashboars warnings when approachjng vehicles too closely when they are slower than me

So if it doesn't activate at low speed that has answered my original question

Thank you Scot5
