Car as per signature. 180k

Faults: rad fans on constantly, rad control module replaced two months ago.

Fuel and temp gauges do not work but receive power, auto electrician suggested getting a replacement dial assembly from scrappers (£40) but have to reprogramme it (£90)

When he visited he smelt burning whilst diagnosing...?

A fuse was in the wrong place according to him.

He blocked my number so I need a diagnostic elsewhere: £60.

I have read that dry joints in the instrument console can cause faults.

 

Mechanical ok,  mot until Jan. Body is good. two tyres will need replacing in 3 months.

 

Any advice welcome.
