ALL WINDOWS OPENED ON THEIR OWN

Featured Replies

Had an odd 'Event' yesterday.  My 2017 Octavia 1.5TSI was locked in the garage and I knelt down beside the offside with the keys in my pocket.  Suddenly, all four windows lowered to the halfway mark but the doors were all locked.  Opened the drivers door with the unlock button, no ghosts visible inside so closed all windows with the central button in the drivers' door.  My conclusion is that when I knelt down, I managed to press an odd combination of buttons at the same time, that opened the windows.  Either that or we have spooks?  I'll have a look and see if I can replicate it and keep you informed but meanwhile any ideas please?

Yes, as Petroldave states. I have had a couple of incidents when sat in work with the keys in my pocket, stood up and looked out the office window to see all windows down on my car! Luckly it was not raining at the time.

You can turn this feature off incidentally.

You can also set it to only open the drivers window.

I'd like to see an option to only open front windows myself, maximising air flow without destroying the rear sun blinds, but you can't have everything.

I've set this feature off accidentally on my wife's Mazda many times, worryingly.  However, never on the Octavia, I think the recessed buttons on the fob make it less prone to pressing accidentally, although obviously still possible.

Used to happen a lot with my Octy 2s. The remote on the Octy 3 seems to be less susceptible.

A great feature, but you must try and avoid keeping the keys in your trouser pockets.

Many thanks for that, it saves me looking further.  Must have had rather tight trousers!  I'll have a go later.

Yes - I'll pinch one of my wife's handbags😄

It’s happened to me quite a lot, and sometimes when it’s raining. I’ve disabled it through the infotainment system
