Fabia 1.2 Sport

Featured Replies

Just borrowed one while mine's in for the creak to be fixed. Really quite impressed. The seats are what should be in the vRS (Black), the sunset glass looks very good and the door handles are painted! Engine quite responsive for its size. Overall very impressive. They just need to ditch those black bumper inserts!!

I'm dead jealous that painted door handles are now fitted on Fabias! The only negative thing I can think of about the Sport now that they use the 1.2 12v engine, and have started fitting electric front windows as standard, is that naff exhaust trim on the back (that the exhaust gas doesn't even come out of!!!) Apart from that, a nice little car all round!

They only paint the handles on the sport !!

they do the sport in the cz with all sorts of engines!!! it aint fair you can practically build your own fabia ie a clasic with a 2.0 engine!:( but yeah the sport is very nice shame its a 1.2 sounds cool tho!

What an odd thing to do!

Forgive my numptiness, but what is it about painted handles? On the one hand they give the car a clean overall look, OTOH it just looks as if they forgot to mask them off when they turned the paint spray on

Can probably buy a small pot of matching paint if you like them I supose; not sure if it's possible to buy a small tin of chrome paint if you don't though...

:rubchin:

On topic, I wouldn't mind checking out the 1.2 sport against my 1.4.

I am seriously considering replacing my wife's Clio for one. I think its a great package

I've just part-ex'd my old 1.4 8v W reg fabia for a new 1.2 Sport. I was really impressed when I took it for a test drive and it seems a good choice for those who can't stretch to forking out for a vRS. I think it comes with a good set of extras and I really like the black seats!

Good mpg and cheap insurance also appeal.

Surprisingly it seemed to pull slightly better uphill than my old 1.4 although the engine sounds slightly weedier.

Good deal I reckon

Do you think Skoda will continue with 1.2 sport for the next Fabia out next year. If so I will be getting one.

Don't know, but the 12v 1.2 is supposed to get a power boost to 70BHP soon.

Fabia Sport seems like a great buy. Good spec, good price, decent engine. If I was buying a Fabia it'd be that or an RS.

Which colour did you get?

Post some piccies of the inside and out when you get it :)

Haven't seen a Fabia Sport in the metal.

Went for Black Magic in the end. My old car was silver so I fancied a change. Thought it looked mint in Black as theres pritty much no other colour on the car inside or out!

Not too sure how long its gonna look clean for tho :)

Will let you know what I think when it's arrived. I'll try and post some pics too!

Just think what VRS goodies you could muster with that thought ???

Just buy her a second hand Corsa and treat yourself. ;)

Edit - Yeah, I agree. I saw a 1.2 Sport a few weeks back and they look great.
