Mass air flow sensor

Featured Replies

Does  the code on the new  mass air flow sensor must be identical to the original (old) one. As I'm searching for a maf sensor of code HTC AFH60-10C

I 4 49/03

And the one I bought was

HTC AFH60-10C

I 4 50/01

But it didn't work correctly.

The fuel consumbtion is currently 20L/100 km and the RPM is hesitating on idel it reaches 2500 and goes up and down. Could it be a faulty throttle body? By the way the throttle body was cleaned and coded and the maf sensor was also cleaned

Hi, whats your engine code?

Ideally it should be identical yes, as they are configured to specific engine set ups.

Part number stops at 461B

Also, is that pic the original one? has it been replaced by a previous owner already with a pattern part? Im pretty sure ALL mafs are Bosch, not Hitachi..

My engine code is AEH

It's a 1.6L  SR 102 hp 75kw.

I want ta ask about the number 449/03 what does it refer to. is it important?

And what code of  those three should I focus on when I purchase a new maf sensor.

Actual part number for a AEH engine is

06A 906 461B

Bosch is oem. Get a bosch.

49/03 is likely the the manufacture week and year - start of Dec in 2003,

When that hitachi part was made (listed on 7zap as aftermarket equivilent)

I'm the first owner and i have the car for 15 years now but this is the first time replacing the maf and it HITACHI as i searched it is aftermarket and the original one is BOSCH is that right? And if I get a BOSCH maf will the ECU accept it and work fine.

Okay, you now have 3 threads asking the same thing.

Have you tested to see if the maf is flubbed?

Ie disconnect it, and start the engine. If the idle is nice and settled then the maf is likely dead.

If the idle stays jumpy then the problem is else where.

If you are the only owner, then It could be hitachi supplied some mafs to the factory, all i know is 7zap lists it as an alternative supplier part number (i checked before knowing you were the only owner)
