Hi all

Featured Replies

Thought I'd better siogn up after having read many posts over the last few years.  Currently run an Octavia 2.0 Elegance and a 1.6 Rapid spaceback.  Both going to get the Celtic Tuning done tomorrow, so will be interesting to see the results!

A warm welcome to the Forum !

Both cars back home, and what a difference.

Skoda Octavia 2.0 diesel giving 150 hp as standard

Skoda Rapid 1.6 diesel giving 90 hp as standard.

The 2.0 now gives 199hp and the 1.6 150hp.  Both feel hugely better, but in different ways.  The Octy just rides a wave of torque and pulls like a train up to silly speeds.  The 1.6 feels like a different car.  It used to run out of steam quite quickly and would drop 2 gears to 5th to go quickly up hills.  Not now!  It just steams along as it should have done all along.  Early days yet, but mpg seemed better on the way home.

30 - 70 times improved by a whole 3 seconds.  Happy with that.

Done by Ecovehicletuning. In Hampshire using maps from Celtic tuning.  £245 per car

Can I ask what MPG you get fro the 2.0 after the remap? assume its the 198bhp map?

Too early to tell yet.  I managed to bugga my back a couple of weeks ago and can hardly drive , although things are improving. Certainly no worse mpg than before I reckon.  Trouble is I'm still playing and flooring the loud pedal whenever I can, so not fair to compare yet

Biggest improvement is in the Rapid, though.  Feels a coimpletely different car
