Clicking Noise At Low Speed

Featured Replies

Had my VRS for just over a month and it's suddenly developed an annoying clicking/grinding noise when pulling off at low speeds. At first I thought it may have been the clutch cable rubbing on something as it also seems to make the same noise when putting foot down on the clutch pedal. It's not a very loud noise, definitely noticable and very very annoying!!

Anyone else experienced this problem or got an idea as to what could be causing it?

I had the same thing with my fabia 1.4 16V.. its a clicking sound when at low speeds.. it'll be gettin worse in the future.. i took it to the dealership n they said that they replaced somethin in the gearbox and a C.V Joint .. they got me the car 10 days later n now the noise is back and its much worse than before.. im really worried about this :S.. take it to your dealer to get it checked its probably somethin with the gearbox

if its not a loud clicking niose and it changes frequency with speed, it could just be a big stone stuck in the tyre tread ! :) CV clicking normally happens on full lock.......

Cheers, I will check the tyres tonight.

Small stone inside the wheel or stuck in the springs or something if not the tyre.

Get the dealer to have a nosey if it's still doing it.
