Warning lights

Featured Replies

Hi .

Today when I dropped kids that school my dash display filled with warning lights.

ESC warning

Tyre pressure sensor

Abs sensor

Directional light fault.

Auto start stop fault

They all go back to fuse 34 which is peculiar but it was not blown .

Any help please. My abs doesn't work.  Traction control either .

Looks like a problem with the ABS, without knowing the fault code it's impossible to suggest the exact cause as there could be many, many causes.

You need to find someone locally with a fault scanner such as OBDEleven, VCP or VCDS

Would a problem with the ABS throw up the other faults also Dave

Yes, the ABS definitely controls the ESC and tyre pressure warnings; and if the ESC is upset that can cause the directional light fault; and start/stop seems to get upset at just about anything

Thanks very much Dave . Will get it checked tomorrow .

How does ESC affect the directional lights?

Are these the indicators, AFS system or the cornering fog lights?

The first three faults could very well be linked, as mentioned to a faulty ABS sensor.

The AFS system fault is strange though, I'm struggling to see how this could be linked.

AFS performance is affected by speed, but I wouldn't expect the vehicle speed to be recorded via the ABS sensors?

I would guess that AFS is linked because it uses VehicleSpeed (to adjust the rate/angle of turning perhaps) which is sent by the ABS module.

Could also affect the cornering fog lights which only activate below a certain speed I think.

The faults cleared this morning when I started the car. Strange one. 🤞, Thanks for the feedback all. Will update if it comes back

Morning, my 2013 Octavia Vrs facelift, is doing the same thing with all the warning lights. Had it checked by AA, they said near side speed sensor. Got it changed by a local garage. However, when I start the car now the same warning lights come on. Within 5 minutes of driving, they all go out. Any help from anyone as to why this is happening would be most appreciated.

Hi, this is a Mark 3 forum so not sure if the electrics are different to the Mark 2.  It may be worth reposting.
