Hi there,

 

First timer...

 

I had a look through forums but could not find the answer, so apologies of it has already been covered in the past.

 

I have a 2016 L&K Superb estate.

 

I cannot open my boot lid from inside by using the boot button on centre console. 

 

Also, the boot release does not work on the key fob.

 

Any ideas on the issue and how to fix?

 

N b. All automatic options are selected on the set up.

I know that in order for the internal button to work, the engine must be off. Maybe its the same for the fob.

I've tried everything I can think of. Including engine on and off. Nothing in the manual to suggest I'm doing anything wrong. Not sure if it could be something as simple and a fuse swap and replace battery on fob...

Mmmm... My button works with the engine running.

I've had the car about 6 months and never had to use it. The wife was running out of the shops in the rain with her hands full and that was my chance to give it ago. Picture my disappointment when it didn't work...and the wife's rage when I was sitting trying to figure it out and she was getting soaked Haha.

Your car is fine. Trade in your wife 

 

Assuming that's not an option, have you had a look under the Columbus menu settings to see if there's something ticked/unticked? I'd check my options for you (also a 2016 L&K) but it's raining out 

You are pressing and holding the relevant buttons instead of just a quick press aren't you?

That thought did cross my mind Haha.

 

Regards to the Columbus menu  everything that can be ticked I've done it. And I've made sure that I've not ticket something that would prevent it from being de activated.

Yeah, I've made sure I've pressed and held for a few seconds and then some. Both on button and on fob. When I press and hold fob the hazards flash and I hear a 'bleep' but no movement in the boot lid. 

 

The ninja kick to the back for virtual tail gate it tempremental but the physical rear handle works fine, as does the auto close button 🤔

Maybe check for some blown fuse.
