Car microphone for phone

Featured Replies

Having owned my car for 10 months I received my first hands free phone call today. My question is where is the microphone positioned in the car. My instinct was to direct my voice towards the central display. The caller thought I sounded distant.  So where is it?

They are normally in the overhead console, near the alarm sensors and interior reading lights..........if your caller though you sounded 'distant' they should sample the set-up from Toyota, not only distant but under the sea too!
