Newbie - thinking of a Superb or Octavia

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have joined as I am seriously thinking of buying a Skoda.  My needs are quite specific and the Superb and Octavia could work for me.

I will post a thread in About to buy a Skoda as I would be interest to hear what owners think.

I look forward to exchanging views.

Jim

Hi Jim

I too am a newbie but as a superb owner am happy to recommend the mk 3 superb greenline. I have had mine from new and now nearly 3 years old.

If looking on auto trader search for superb and zero road tax and you will find them.

Ideal motorway cruiser and if you on cruise control at 60 you can exceed 80 mpg. Genuinely if you have the patience!

Regards.

A warm welcome to the Forum Jim !  I debated on whether to have an Octavia or Superb but, as we are long retired and found the capacity inside of the Octavia well within our demands, went for the Octavia.  It took some doing as I really love limos but so far, two years on, haven't regretted it.

Thank you for the welcome.  I am off to my local dealer, hopefully this week, to compare space and see what the difference really is.  I have a thread running on About to Buy a Skoda.  Space is very important as I have 3 kids, my lad, who is 14, is already 6ft 3inch tall and still seems to be growing, ideally he can sit behind me (although I am only 6ft!).  I like both cars and have had a soft spot for the Octavia for a long time.  Skoda do seem to be on a roll at the moment!
