I know there is kits for retrofit reversecamera but if i buy an original camera från skoda, is it prewired to the trunk in a noncamera car or do i need to run wires to the headunit anyway?

You have to run the wires to the headunit.

Let's us know how it goes. I'm tempted to get a reversing camera, but not sure on cable routing

I have a kit but was tempted to get an original but i will stuck with the kit instead, just waiting to get the car back after waterpump and cambelt changed 🙄

With the original kit and a "high" camera, you will get moving lines on the media display. You also get additional camera display options.
