FL hatchback rear wash removal

Featured Replies

As title says, got a blocked rear wash nozzle. Tried cleaning with a needle and it cleared momentarily then blocked up again so think a proper clean is needed.

How do you actually remove the nozzle?

thanks in advance

pull it off. Nice and easy

Job done thank you, it was absolutely full of gunk.

The hardest part was was trying to align the jets again so it wouldn’t be spraying pedestrians! :giggle:

And using a higher ratio of concentrated screen wash helps to keep nozzles clean. Use your rear washer more often and you can tell if it's starting to block up again. Glad it was easy to remove.

The Combi jet isn't at all easy to remove.

I’ve only had the car a few months and it’s always been a bit of a dribble but just figured that was how it was...evidently not!
At least now I know it’s easy enough to pop the nozzle off periodically and make sure it’s clean.

It works really well to squirt tailgaters when you leave the cap and nozzle off then push the wiper arm forward 🤣

Sounds similar to my Mk2 hatch which needed regular  nozzle cleaning. On the hatch, the rear washers don't need to be used as much as on the Combi.
