Broken wheel nut adaptor!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My garage says they've broken my locking wheel nut adaptor and I'm sans car until they can get my wheels off! Does anyone know where I'd get something like this? I've never seen one like that before, I thought they were always a sort of flower shape.

There are letters embossed into it, I think they say V B E then 10.9 on the bottom

Thanks in advance if you can help

My car is a 2001 Octavia ambiente estate with elegance wheels

Three options:

1) I uploaded a diagram some while back showing all the Octavia wheel nut keys.  If you can find it match yours to the diagram then use the part number to search for a new key.

2) search fleabay for replacement wheel lock key or adapter until you find a visual match. Tedious but you'll find one,

3) Go to your local Skoda dealer or TPS counter and show them the piccy.  They can provide replacements but at a co$$$t ...

Just playing devil's advocate, but if the garage broke it then should they not sort it out?

Yep, I suppose they should, but they're not, so I'll have to

Thanks stickymicky, I managed to find it as well and was just about to pop back on to say thanks for the pointer!! I've told my garage what part it is, so im hoping they'll be able to get it on the europarts network

Thanks again :)

It's arrived, and it doesn't fit 😞 i'm beginning to wonder if they aren't actually Skoda parts at all, if they're actually just some generic wheel nut.

*Edit* turns out it was a Bimecc 'tuner key' 19mm 10 spline! Got one off fleabay for a fiver and it fits beautifully :) thanks for all your help!
