Indicator fault

Featured Replies

Where is the OPSCU sited in the car? 57 plate Octavia estate. Suspect this to be the problem as there is no feed to the indicator bulb, LH rear indicator.

One more point...Wiring diag shows cable colour code as Blue/White tracer. Actual colour in the car is Black/white tracer.

OPSCU? Is this another acronym for the BCM (Body Control Module) or CECM (Central Electronics Control Module)?

They are usually tucked away in the dash somewhere above the drivers feet.

Onboard Power Supply Control Unit is somewhere above accelerator pedal on a RHD car. Wire to left rear indicator is shown as Black/white on the circuit I'm looking at, from pin 11 of the brown 12-way connector at the opscu.

wiring diag was from a Haynes Manual so it sounds like you have the real one which matches the actual colours in the car. Good idea about the engine code in but in my case there was an engine change before I got the car. The replacement was from a Touran, similar lump but different code to the original. Now I know where to look I can try and sort before the upcoming MOT.
