Mk2 octavia vrs seats

Featured Replies

Will the mk2 octavia vrs seats fit my mk1 fabia vrs?

If I remember correctly Octavia seats are on different rails and will need modifying to fit to the chassis. Dimensions are different and might not fit correctly either

I also want to change seats to anything that doesn’t have the awful lumbar stick out thing the Fabia/Ibiza/polo seats have.

There’s a guide on here for mk4 golf seats seems like you just need to swap stuff over to the Fabia seat subframe and bolt the back of the seat on. Photos blurred courtesy of photobucket.

Mk2+ Octavia and mk5+ golf seats are really comfy for me in comparison, be really interested as well if anyone has got them to fit with swap over or other method.

otherwise thinking of taking them to a seat place that will refoam and upholster as I quite like the look of vrs seats unlike most people just can’t drive more than a couple hours.

Have a look at this think they’re talking mk1 Octavia but I’m guessing if they’ll go hopefully mk2 will too.

I’m most likely going to try mk2 Octavia seats over Christmas so if nothing else will let you know in a while..  seems like fronts are straightforward and I’m just going to leave the rear as I don’t care if it doesn’t match. Will buy donor Fabia seats and keep original vrs fronts anyway.

you can make anything fit if you have some fabrication skills.

I’ve got none once you get past the basic. Never got into welding or any kind of metal work, plus not looking at putting that much effort in, so hoping for something relatively doable with basic skills!

I had golf mk4 anniversary seats in a lupo gti so with a bit of bodging im sure golf / Octavia seats can be made to fit a fabia
