I'm looking at a 53 plate VRS this evening and wonder if there is anything I should pay particular attention to checking?

Clutch slip . especially if it's ever been remapped

Any sort of clonking noise when driving at a low speed turning left or right. This would be down to ARB's bushes or drop links.

Check the heater blows hot and cold. Not just hot.

Rear washer jet works. If not the hose could have popped of due to cold weather.

Thats a good one. Use full throttle at about 2K rpm or below. Clutch is expensive to replace.

A good starting point is a full service history plus evidence that the car has been treated with TLC. Ask the owner what oil if any they have added to see if they know that the PD engine needs a specific oil.

Also check for wet carpets in the back. Think theirs a problems with a water leak from the rear doors. Not sure

check the enigine mounts for anysort of cracks or bolts missing.
