2.0tfsi 4x4 Octavia.

Featured Replies

Is there one available? I’ve seen 2.0fsi octvias, loads of 1.8t 4x4’s but no mk2 TFSI 4x4’s if it’s not a production car, has anyone built one?

Wife has a 1.8tsi Scout that have been mapped to 210 horse and 265ftlb and is that rare thing - one that doesn't drink oil. I believe a tfsi version was built for other markets.

Cheers Burnzy for the advice on the rocker cover hopefully now sorted

TSI and TFSI is the exact same engine.

But no 2.0 TSI with 4x4 (MkII).

I though one was belt one was chain?

having a read up the hardware can be fitted easy enough, you’d just need to figure out integrating the haldex into the wiring loom and then what controllers would need changing afterwards if any.

Some have chains and some have belts.

The name means the same - Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection or just Turbo Stratified Injection. Same same.

For octavias...with the mk2 branding - I believe pre-FL VRS used the BWA engines and (EA113) and were named TFSI.

MK2 FL VRS used CCZA engines (EA888) and were named TSI.

1.8s are either BZB, CDAB but both had the TSI branding?

For the UK market - I don't think we ever had a 2.0L petrol 4x4

edit:

I meant 2.0L Turbo 4x4. Apparenlty there are N/A 2.0L's out there.

CCZA engine was the chain engine wasn’t it? Mine is a BWA with a belt.

there is currently a 2.0FSI 4x4 on autotrader iirc, I guess it’s a fairly rare beast.

after reading up though I think it’d be easier making a VRS 4wd instead of converting a 4wd petrol FSI into a TFSI 🤔

My mistake - I was only thinking of 2.0L Turbos.
