Ignition Switch Possibly

Hi all,

 

I have done a fault scan on my Octavia 1.9 TDi  after having some starting issues on got the below report.

 

I did find the below thread and wondered if I need to do the same so solve it. I have cleared the codes several times but returns everytime I re-scan.

Yup, very likely your ignition switch has worn out.

 

As per that thread, you can replace the switch on the end of the ignition barrel easily enough. I think there are a few different styles so it might be worth checking what is fitted before ordering 🙂
