Hi All,

 

New member who (as I guess most new members do) will search the forum for questions they need answered about their new / new to them Skoda.

 

I'm a self confessed petrol head and have owned many different marques over the years but this is my first Skoda, an Octavia II  VRS, Petrol, Manual, pre facelift (from what I read before the purchase the best engine to go for).

 

As I always tend to do I have picked up a cheap one first to make sure I get on with it and then I may migrate to a newer / later / better condition model further down the line.

 

So far so good, I am seriously impressed by the virtually zero lag engine, smooth torque delivery and overall comfort of the car.  It hits the spot for what I need at the moment and I don't think I will tire of if very quickly.

 

The car does have some issues, so I will be asking questions.  Some may be ones that you've heard before, so please bear with me (I'm not great with searching through old posts to find answers).
