P0726 - Vrs wont rev at all.

Hey guys,

My vrs has been sat for the last 3 weeks with a flat battery, Battery changed this morning and started up and idled fine. Went to move off and engine started hunting/wouldn't rev over 1500rpm ish.

Glow plug light came on and started flashing and so did the T/C light. Code reader showing P0726

Any one had anything similar?

Crank sensor possibly. Though try disconnect and reconnect the wiring first.

Crankshaft sensor solved mine. It didn't take long to change

Hi everyone, I have a Skoda Fabia with a 1.2 AZQ engine. I have a warm running issue - the car misfires/stutters when fully warm. The intake air temperature (IAT) reads around 80°C when the problem occurs. When I unplug the EGR connector the car runs perfectly and IAT drops to around 30°C. Parts already replaced: EGR valve (new) + adaptation done MAP sensor (new) Coolant temperature sensor (new) PCV valve (new) EGR pipe is clean, no carbon buildup Breather hose between EGR and air filter ho

Thought I'd post here since a lot of Fabia's will have the same engine. Above purchased new in January of this year and from day 1 idles at ~ 1000 RPM even when fully up to temperature. Just now, after a 10 mile trip, VCDS shows a idling speed of 996/1002 RPM, coolant temperature 92C, (Tacho display shows ~ 1100 RPM), all auxiliary electrical loads off including interior blower. A 2019 65BHP TSI Polo in the family idles at ~ 760/780 RPM and only increases to ~ 1000 RPM when the clutch is press

2014 SE. Had a low battery which failed to start the car. New battery. Car will start but dies after 3 seconds. Full tank of petrol. Dash engine light goes off but EPC remains on. Dash panel shows 'Safe' at all times. List of items checked: All fuses. Key fob battery. Spare key tried. Cam sensor changed. Ignition barrel and reader antenna changed. Crank sensor passes check. Hi again. I have a 1.6 tdi My daughter recently had to sell her VW Sharan after the DPF was pronounced dead. At least 2K to fix,probably much more.Her car was low mileage,full service history. Can I protect the DPF on our much older vehicle,are there options if it clogs up? Thankyou
