Change high beam assist activation speed

Featured Replies

Hi All, Is there anyway to change the high beam assist activation speed. It is currently 37 mph on my superb. That is a little too fast for country lanes.

Unfortunately there is no known way, yet, to change the threshold for the auto high beam activation.

Same story in the VW and Audi camps.

There r two settings, depending on country/market.  One is set to trigger after 40 km/h, while most countries, the trigger is 60 km/h.

60 km/h seems to account for a majority of people.

My HBA activates at 40 km/h.

I have since retrofitted SLA, and it too activates at 40 km/h.

Probably not useful, but u can alter the Cornering Fog Lights activation threshold if u want.  Default is set to 40 km/h.  U can make this as high as 60 km/h, or as low as 15 km/h.

I dropped mine to 30 km/h, so the cornering lights don't turn on unless I'm doing 30 km/h or less now.

Check in VCDS on the A5 (front driver assist) module if there's an adaptation channel for "activation speed for high beam assistant" or something like that.
