Xenon Level Switch on rear suspension

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have been lucky enough to get my Superb up on Ramps to have a look at a different issue (Rear wishbone Mounts have worn), but noticed what I believe to be the Headlight level sensor is broken on the rear of the car

(It is the same item as in this thread here.......

What is the correct part number for this? As I have found one with this part number "3T0941273" and at £65 this could be an expensive mistake lol.......

The linked thread mentions two Part numbers:

"FWD and 4x4 will probably use different sensors, I think that: - 1K0941273L is for PR-1X0 (FWD) - 3T0941273 is for PR-1X1 (4x4)"

Any help greatly appreciated :)

Probably worth checking the old one for a part number or at least taking a couple of pictures of it :)

www.skoda-parts.com

Create account then set up a "Garage" for your car then when you search, it brings up items specific to your vehicle.

Following these "Tabs" will take you to what you need - With the exception of the Car Model - Dependent on your Vehicle: (You dont have to buy from here, but its great to get part numbers then go comapre prices)

Cheers Carl

Did the rear sensor last year, noticed earlier this year when I had it jacked up that the front one had parted company too. Didn't give any issues at MoT but would like to get it fitted

Annoying thing with these sensors is it's only the drop link which has broken (both times) but you can't get just that part.

Yes, It is somewhat annoying. Though with all that Water, Salt and grime, I wonder how long the sensor can last ? They are not really well protected down there

I used to work in Tarleton / Hesketh Bank.

Len Wrights produce growers down Hesketh Lane and then Harrisons Produce growers in Banks.

Been in the Midlands since 2001.

Tell me about it, the worst thing about the job was getting the screws/bolts out of the old one due to being coroded in, took it to my local  tame  mechanic in the end.  I suspect that was the original though and car was 10 years old at the time.  Looks like I may have to replace it again in another 10 years.

Think the main issue is when the car is jacked up it may stress the drop link and that's what causes the damage.
