My sons 2011 Fabia Monte Carlo has developed a steering fault. Warning Light comes on and zero assistance. Turning ignition off and restarting sometimes clears fault. Topped up the fluid a little bit it didn’t need much so don’t think it’s a leaking rack. Suspect it’s the electric power steering pump. Looks like it’s accessed from the passenger wheel well behind the plastic liner and doesn’t look like a particularly tricky job. or am I wrong!!?

I think it'll be number 6 on your car. Actually it might be labelled number 7, it's the outermost one.
