Blower fan intermittent

Hi all.

In the last week my Blower fan has picked up the nasty habit of not working.

It will usually occur if I go on a very short run in the car, engine off...come back and then no matter the fan control setting, or heat, the fan will not come on. I've also noticed the air recycle button on the heater controls also does not work when this happens (all fuses have been checked and are fine, when the fan is running it runs strong and as it should)

Usually the fan will start working again by itself after maybe 15 or 20 mins if I take the car an on a  longer journey, or it will work again if I turn the car off and come back to it a good time later.

The car is an 06 VRS petrol estate and i have the automatic climate control system. I've read about resistors being at fault with this kind of thing but I was also told that the automatic climate control does not have a resistor which is only applicable on the manual heater system?

Any thoughts?
