Hi there guys have a problem with power socket it has stopped working, have tried changing the fuse ( under drivers steering wheel) but still not working. Have noticed that it does work for like a second as the phone charger I put in lights up for a second but then goes back out. Have tried cleaning it with a cotton bud but no luck.

Any suggestions, I'm guessing it may be a faulty socket and I may have to order another but not sure how to go about doing it.

 

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

For some reason, the socket seems quite vicious and it damages the metal springy bits of the charger. 

Try a different charger or other 12v socket  and see if that works, or try rotating the charger a bit to see if it comes on.
