Ok picked up car yesterday and am in love already but one thing I cannot change.  On information display between dials where the total mileage of car should be displayed in bottom left I have the symbol for speed limiter with no limit set.  For the life of me cant work out how to change it back to total mileage and have given up with the Da Vinci code manual lol.

Turn off speed limiter by setting toggle A to off. 

You can choose between speed limiter or cruise control by pressing button D on bottom of stalk.

Do you have ACC and confusing speed limiter with ACC target speed

 

The lower left stalk controls it, see if it pushed forward towards the dashboard, might be getting this wrong way around from memory 

Hi Surrey John - no ACC just normal cruise control 

Then turn off the A switch - to turn off cruise control - should then show distance traveled all the time - not just when you are stationary.

 

 

All sorted should have looked on stalk properly in usual Skoda style off button is too the right not the left lol

Seems a rather strange comment?  The switch reads on - cancel - off because when you want to temporarily interrupt cruise, you can simply flick the sprung loaded switch to cancel and it'll automatically return to on in anticipation of you setting another speed. Off switches the system off altogether. If the switches were the other way around as you suggest, then wouldn't it make the stalk more awkward to use?

 

Which cars have the off switch to the left?  ( and I hope you're not going to say those who's cruise stalk is on the right of the steering wheel  )

Lets see if you want to turn your lights off you turn dial to the left so some switches do go left for off 

You didn't think the read the written words on a three-position switch to check you were moving it to the correct location!?
