Two days ago I bought my first Skoda, the forums here helped a lot in making the decision on what car to buy. I've owned 3 Vauxhall Astra's and wanted something a bit cooler as the new car.

 

I bought an Octavia Vrs 245 petrol and so far, the car has been perfect. Had to drive it back up the motorway on way home and got the high 30's in mpg in eco mode which is far better than I expected. I had looked at a 2016 type r civic but felt the Skoda was more grown up.

 

Joining the forum because it's already proved useful for things like resetting the mileage trip computer!

Trial and error as to your driving style, but a number of people (myself included) found you can improve your fuel economy by not using Eco mode, as paradoxical as that might sound.
