Airbag warning light won’t go off?

Featured Replies

Hi

My first post so sorry if the answer is somewhere in the forum.

I replaced  the heater/blower resistor in my 2013 Fabia, removed the passenger airbag to replace it. However once it’s all been reassembled the airbag warning light comes on, goes off for a couple of seconds then stays on permanently.

What have I done wrong and can I reset it?

you disconnected / reconnected it with the battery connected ?

If so it has logged a fault and is latched, will need resetting.

That’s what I thought, I was too lazy to disconnect the battery, I’m guessing my local garage can reset it for me or would disconnecting the battery for a few minutes reset it?

no it needs plugging in

Thanks, very much appreciated.

...lucky the airbag didn't fire off. That would quite literally, have left you red-faced!
