I occasionally get a warning in the RH side of the VC showing two cars side by side but not level with each other, it flashes up for a few seconds. I think (but not sure) it happens when using ACC. I do not have lane assist just front assist. Cannot see anything in the manual to explain its purpose. Any ideas?   

Could this be when you're approaching another car in the offside lane and it's there to stop you undertaking it?

The only symbol with two cars on it that appears is the front assist one and it means that you're too close to the car in front of you.

 

Front assist can be useful, but it can also be downright dangerous, as I was nearly rear ended by another vehicle when it decided to slam on the emergency brake without good reason, nothing in front or either side of me, it just hit the anchors hard!

 

It's on the faults to be fixed list when my junk heap goes in for rectification work on Thursday!
