I have a 2019 Octavia 1.5TSI.  It was recently in the shop for a repair and I believe there are some changes.  With much other talk of update and behavior changes, I was wondering if there is a way to tell if or what firmware/software has been updated.  I assume it could be complicated with all of the different versions and controllers.  Is there one big overall update or do some components get updates and others not.

 

Anyway, Is the version updates available somewhere; by obd2 or VCDS, etc. 

 

BTW, start stop seems to behave a little differently, e.g it works more often now.  and I also think that eco (2cyl mode) kicks in sooner and stays on longer now.  Of course all of this could just be my imagination....

In OBD11 do a scan of the car, it will pick up any faulty control units, when complete, go back to the main screen and find the Info line.

 

Touch that and it'll come up with another and provided that there's a network connection, it should check if there's a new software version available..

 

As you can see from the second picture it has found that the current software has been superseded by a newer version. 

 

This applies to all the control units, you just need to check each one individually.
