Hi went out to my 2004 1.8t vrs this morning started fine as usual then cut out know wont start have checked the usual fuses and relays car turns over just doesn't fire fuel pump is priming system. Any one have any ideas 

How long did it run before cutting out?

For about 10 seconds 

Just trying to think of the obvious, are you getting a spark?  Fuel pump is definitely priming as mine blew a fuse once.  Fuel filter ok, not blocked?  Do you have another key in case its an immob/key issue?

Have checked all fuses all ok pump definatly priming have tried both keys. Been driving fine parked up for 2 days started put bag in the boot walked back and had cut out. 

Has it started since? 

Try unplugging the maf, as it may gotten a massive over/under read and stalled itself..

Sorted it thanks the pipe from pump to top of sender had a whole in it so pump was priming but just back into tank
