My good lady’s Octavia SEL 1.4 DSG departed to a new home today.

 

We thoroughly enjoyed the car for 3 years and almost 23K miles.

 

In fact, we enjoyed an extra couple of months after the PCP expired as we waited for the replacement car.

 

After a few diesels the super quiet petrol 1.4 was a revelation.

 

The space was a given, both internally and in the boot.

 

Performance easily exceeded an early Golf GTI and was again a bit of a revelation.

 

All in all a cracking car, especially as it had several extras to make life behind the wheel more pleasant.

 

Today, the replacement Polo arrived so it has a lot to live up to.

Farewell and all the best for the future.  I have been with the Octavia 1.5TSI for just over two years now and no trouble at all so far but only done 10,000 miles.
