could anyone tell me where the oil sensor is on my Rapid Spaceback 1.6 TDI 2014?

Level and temperature, or pressure?

Bottom of sump, may need to remove undertray to see.

What's the problem you're trying to solve? Sometimes the fuse or wiring to these sensors can be the problem, rather than the sensor itself.

The display is flashing up ‘oil sensor, workshop’ and the oil temperature reads '————‘

Looks like fuse 3 in the cabin fuseholder supplies it, but it also feeds some other stuff that would be complaining if it had blown, so probably not that.

OK, thanks for your help and fast response, very much appreciated

I’ll check the fuse just in case but it is due a service and oil change very soon so a good time to change the sensor.

Would you believe it, oil sensor changed... no change!

There have been similar complaints over the years.

 

Most are down to faulty wiring (water ingress and rubbing), but some claim that the sensor gets stuck in fault mode with VCDS unable to clear it, the fix has been down to a disconnection of the battery.
