VAG DPF

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas.

This is a continuation of a thread started in the 'Hellos and Goodbyes' group, where I asked questions about the DPF on my Fabia 1.6 diesel. I was advised to get a Carista bluetooth connector and download the VAG DPF app in order to monitor what's happening in the DPF. I've done this, but I can't seem to get any readings. I only got the free app to start with to see if it works - I'll buy the better version once I know it will work ok. Plugging in the Carista and activating the app - on an Android phone that I borrowed - I can get it to connect but I'm not getting any readings.

I tried it with the ignition off, the ignition on and with the engine running - but still no readings. Any advice anyone?

I have an ELM327 rather than Carista but I had to go through several versions of VAG DPF to find one that worked. The one that did for me is 2.17.6P.apk. Similarly Torque if it works with the Carista module.

To save you searching I've dropped both here ( I hope this is allowed on the Briskoda Forum )

Many thanks, delta925, I'll give that a try and let you know.

i downloaded the app from the google playstore and connected it to the Bluetooth reader. I can't exactly remember how i set it up, but i know once it picked it up it gave me the engine model on the bottom of the app and the latest software version on the ECU.

Thank you for that, Bertie90. I've tried several things over the last week or so, all without success. Unfortunately, I don't have the Android phone now so I can't really try anything else at the moment.

Is there anything that will run on Windows 10?
