I have a 14 plate Elegance and have put LEDs in the DRLs without any issues.

Thanks I followed you recommendation and fitted these this morning 

big difference 

the difference in brightness between between the standard filament bulb on the O/S and newly fitted LED on the N/S 

P21W / 382 Bulb. Ebay specials Work great and have done for nearly 3 years now.
